Hello!
Well, I’m proud to say I actually made it – 10,000 words in one week towards my Noumenal project! Not to blow me own trumpet, but it feels good to actually achieve something remotely impressive towards writing after so long of faffing around – I spent about Four solid hours alone working and planning towards it. It’s all getting so much easier, even when juggling my assignments and home life…
But I might be a bit late actually posting a PDF of what I’ve written.
Y’see, while I’ve written a lot towards this novel project, looking back I ought to do a great deal of refinining before I turn it out to public. As you may’ve noticed with the early NaNoWriMo project (Tut tut), when I first draft a story, the plot can be pretty linear and woodenly crafted. Not the sort of stuff I ought to be sharing online, eh?
Thus, I’m going to need a bit longer to refine a 4000 word “taster” of what I’ve been up to – chop it down from 10,000 to make the pacing snappier and more enjoyable. This might take me until thursday, accounting for assignment priorities and the lark. It’s better late than rushed – still doesn’t excuse me for taking my sweet ass time though. If you wish to complain about my shocking inability to meet deadlines, don’t stay quiet! Employ whatever profanities feel necessary to embody your viewpoint…
Anyhoo, before I do eff off and get the job done, I’ll just remind you that once November is over, I’ll be back to book reviews and advice and the lark, but if this project goes well, I’ll be glad to keep posting it as a serial. We fancy that?
Have a good week! Thank you for taking the time to listen to this bloody amateur author. It means you have someone to be better than. For more information about “Noumenal” (I.e. bloody weird crossover), check out the previous post!
