Hey up!
Pretty chuffed that you’ve somehow stumbled across this fledgling blog. I’m Ben – a poor campus fool still learning the arts of Novelry or,to put it more eloquently, Novel writing. That said I’m also into illustrating,pathological reading, farm work, designing extraterrestrial cultures, and, rather regretably, gaming.

This blog, as it were, is an excuse to keep me accountable for writing more than anything. Since my first year of uni terminated, I’ve found all my other interests bickering with one another like hungry magpies over the silver of my attention. I need direction – WordPress provides. Even if this blog doesn’t attract more than a dozen subscribers or even remains entirely unnoticed til kingdom come, it will give me an excuse to write more on a weekly basis, which will only catalyse my creative output anyway. Beyond that, I hope my entries, extracts and etchings also bring joy to other writers on this enterprise – it’s always good to get to know your community!

What to expect from this Blogger:

• An update every Saturday by 11:00 on the theme of writing.
• The odd written extract or short story when the occasion strikes (you may comment on and savage it all you like).
• Handdrawn sketches, usually to illustrate my worldbuilding ideas on the fly or general character visualisation.
• Freewriting prompts on tuesdays and thursdays.
• A rather shoddy blog layout to begin with – let’s hope it improves with time and effort.
• Friday reading review – exactly what is says on the tin. I will not be sticking to one genre, so expect anything.
• Stray binturong.
• Minimal Jackassery. I Solemnly swear that I’ll try and avoid saying something stupidly controversial. This isn’t Twitter.
