What took him so long?

Well, as I promised, here is one of the polished fruits of my labour this november – wrought in spite of assignments and sickness. The first chapter of my Novel, Noumenal:

Took me quite a lot of feedback from my cruel brother and some associates to get it tidied, but I’d like to see what you think of the result! The second chapter, featuring completely different characters who will become important a little later, will come out later this week once I’ve finished tidying that up too.
