NaNoWriMo writing vote profile – THE SHEEP.

Seriously? You want to hear about more sheep shenanigans? Alright.

Focal Character(s) name: The sheep, a herdmind (Notably individuals include Baabaa the storm cloud, Blee the adversary of rabbitfolk and so on)

Background:Watership down did well, so why not follow the leader? The lore of the lambs is far more complicated than it ought to be: they are wholly incapable of communicating the stormy legends of “brave” rams, “daring” escapes and wondrous pastures to us – even if they could, we’d have no right to take them seriously! Based around abstract hillsides where bipedalism is unheard of, these stories will reveal far more about farm life than you’re likely to be comfortable with.  Expect gluttony, lust, petty impotent wrath and a complete dearth of rationality! It’s time to get fleecy.

Writing style Features (Counting sheep):

  • Third person, past tense, detached narrator – simply retelling the awesome lore of these remarkably stupid animals.
  • Absolutely absurd cast of characters, most of which are disfigured sheep.
  • Expected to be like Kipling’s “just so” stories mixed with a game of thrones ripoff. There is probably a target demographic for this.
  • It’s literally the stupidest candidate – who wouldn’t want to vote for this? It’s like the lord Buckethead of literature. If I manage to pull off a convincing narrative, I’ll probably be qualified to make a bestseller.

Sheepifesto:

“Tupping season beginneth NOW.”

BaaBaa Addendum: “Fate whispers in the ear ‘You cannot withstand the storm’, and the Ram whispers back ‘BLAA-A-AH! BLA-AAHH!”

If you want to make my November interesting, vote for this piece by Liking this post! If you actually want something substantial, like another one of the posts – just one.

Sort the sheep from the goats.
