A question – what should I do next?

Hey up!

Apologies for missing out on making a writing advice post for yesterday; I happened to be very busy helping out with family and friends who’d come to stay, not to mention working away at writing for my novel and a little writing course I’m taking part in. As good as this sight is for keeping me accountable, sometimes it must take a back-seat to life. I don’t want to end up terminally online, scowling at my social media all day long like some people – it’s not good for mental health. Well, I’m a bit freer now.

Question for you all, if you’re interested: would you like me to do some character drawings? As I work on my novel, I’m primarily thinking of illustrating my own stuff at the moment, but if any of you writers would like to see me do a take on your own creations, I’d be happy to oblige – it sounds great for accountability! Drawing does help inspire my writing at times, as well as allow me to catch a break from endless words and plotlines – it’s lots of fun. A lot of artists used to be around on twitter/X (as it was going to hell) and instagram, so it’d be nice to bring about a community on WordPress too. I’ll do some stuff for free to start with – art trades, even. My designs aren’t really good enough yet to be paid for!

If that sounds like a good idea, let me know! Or not. I’m still working away at my novel since I posted that taster draft – up to chapter five now (7000 words). Advice will resume next saturday – expect something on seeking better guidance.

Have a good week! Make sure to catch some sun.
