Daily Prompt 14 – Self portrait of a fool

Daily writing prompt
How would you describe yourself to someone?

Good morning! I know I said I’d stop doing these stupid prompts, but I might as well do so something for the blog this morning while I’ve got the chance. Besides, it’s all good fun!

Today’s question – “How’d you describe yourself to someone” (e.g. a bunch of strangers online who couldn’t care less)? Let me see…Time for another list, methinks.

  • Still minimal facial hair at twenty.
  • Immemorable taste in fashion.
  • Bit of an eccentric (in case you haven’t gathered that from all the bearcats and odd alien designs) as well as a quiet reader type. Quite the odd combination.
  • Speaking aside here, but I gather that everyone who thinks they personify a particular virtue tends to turn out to be the complete opposite (like how most “Empaths” are actually sadistic Sociopaths, most self diagnosed “creative” people are pathetic frauds E.g. like me etc), so I’m not going to categorise myself like that in case I turn out to be the opposite.
  • Writes stories and draws decently – hardly an expert at either. Yet. Constantly smudges my linework despite my best efforts.
  • Still uses wordpress in 2023 (Better than twitter X or Musically Tiktok anyway). Hard to access socially.
  • Helps out the local agricultural community (E.g. arranging field parties, returning lost sheep, planting trees)
  • Actually reads Dickens, Homer translations and other classics on a weekly basis despite finding their writing styles cheesy. Laughs at regency caricatures (don’t worry, I don’t share the same ideologies!)
  • Wishes to make the global environment a better place.

Well, that’s enough rambling. Again. Now I’ve written an entire fortnight of prompt responses, I can finally move on with my life and write my novel. Oh, and resume my literary advice at weekends, though I’m not sure if anyone cares about that. I haven’t gotten many comments yet. Ah well.

Have a nice week!
